Feivel Gruberger was born in Brooklyn in 1929, and was an insurance salesman before leaving his first wife and 8 children to reinvent himself as a spiritual guru. He was ordained as a rabbi at a rabbinical seminary, Torah VaDaat, in Williamsburg, New York, before moving on to study in Israel, where his second set of children were born. As part of the process, the Jew began signing his books as "Dr." Philip Berg, although in one interview he admitted to having no academic degree at all.

If not, then yes, as far as I am aware, the details are fairly accurate. If you think this article is negative, you should try reading what Jewish Orthodox sources write about Berg and his organization.

No, this was not a retorical question, since i was not able to find any reference to this story in the mainstream media ... i wonder why, considering that Kabbala enjoys support of such public figures as Madonna and many others ... And this Berg guy seems to be in business for quite a while. Why don't you send me a few links which address his teaching from the Orthodox viewpoint?

yep - i already found a few links like that myself. What can i say? First - do not take me wrong, i am as excited when i find Christian, Muslim, or Buddist fraud as i am when i see Jewish one. Another thing is - every sect is a sect until it becomes an orthodox faith. Then it starts persecuting other sects. Thirdly, if you read biographues of Sabbatai Sevi and Ron Hubbard, it would give you more insight into my outlook, the way i see this Berg guy ...
