This i love though: Mr. Bush called Dr. Cheshire a "renowned neurologist," but he is not widely known in the neurology or bioethics fields. yep - and, while i agree that "That distinction seems utterly arbitrary to me, but I suppose it might seem valid to someone else" - this still does not justify in my eyes this kind of national attention and breaking of all due procedures in one case while leaving completely in limbo the other one.
Somehow i suspect that even if this lady could not breathe on here own her case would still get exactly the same treatment, and the disctintion would be drawn somewhere lower down the line separating life and death.
