All of the suits, sitting at the table,
All of the suits with their briefcases near
Talk of lies, of ISPs and cable
All of them talking -- does anyone hear?
Suits in their glory speak of legislation,
Influence, lobbyists, Senators, background,
Who'll be called for House investigation
And whose career might yet rebound.
None of them see the waitress in the aisle
Juggling trays before her back goes out,
Waiting politely, arches sinking, while
The suits all sort the economy out.
So many suits with business cards a-flip
Argue the bill and stiff her on the tip.
